Jeff Bell » Bio


Jeff Bell is the Athletic Director at the Academy.   This will be his 38th year in Education.  Jeff was a teacher and coach for 28 years and an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for 9 years.  He was inducted into the Huntsville-Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.  He began his career at Bob Jones High School in 1985 where he served as the Assistant Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator.  He moved to Hazel Green High School in 1990 where he served as the Head Baseball Coach for 19 years.  He returned to Bob Jones in 2009 until his retirement with the State of Alabama in 2013.  From 2013-2022, he served as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lincoln County High School in Fayetteville, TN.  While coaching, his baseball teams compiled a 490-212 record, 5 Final Appearances, 16 Playoff Appearances, 13 Area Championships, and over 60 players signed college scholarships.  Jeff graduated from Johnson High School in 1979 where he played football, basketball, and baseball.  He was an all-decade selection in football and an all-city player in baseball.  He played college baseball at Calhoun and the University of North Alabama, where he received the Golden Glove award 4 years, Captain Award 2 years, and All Conference Team MVP in his senior year.   Jeff is a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and his favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:28-31.
