Student Leadership University
Student Leadership University is one of the most impactful opportunities available to Academy students. The vision of SLU is to train up a generation of leaders who will effectively engage their world on all levels with a contagious passion for Christ in a manner that is also full of both grace and truth.
Three groups travel each summer:
- SLU 101 (rising freshmen) go to Orlando
- SLU 201 (rising sophomores) go to Washington, D.C.
- SLU 301 (rising juniors) go to Europe
Each group not only tours these locations, but hears from world-renowned speakers about leadership. Parents often travel as well, and learn as much as the students do. One Academy Dad who owns a business said that SLU has been "better than any corporate training I've attended" and that he took notes on SLU trips that will heavily influence his leadership strategies.
