Melanie Waye is the upper school art teacher. She is from Memphis, Tennessee but grew up in Madison, Alabama. She attended the University of North Alabama where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education-Art with a concentration in Painting. She has taught nine years in the public school system. She and her husband, Ben, were licensed foster parents and fostered five children. She is the aunt to two nephews and two nieces. She has two fur babies named Toby and Lucy. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, creating art, traveling, and shopping. She is involved in the Children’s Ministry at Asbury United Methodist Church and is an active member. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28.
