Mrs. Nora Douglas » Bio


Nora Douglas is the Library Media Specialist at the Academy. She grew up in Chicago and in Grant, Alabama. Mrs. Douglas has a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Secondary Education—Social Science) from Judson College. She also holds two Masters degrees: a MED in Library Media from the University of West Alabama and a MLIS (Masters in Library and Information Sciences) from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Prior to joining the Academy in 2012, Nora worked for four years in a public library and two years in a school library. She and her husband, Kerry, are the parents of two sons and two cats. They are active members at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cullman. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, reading, and dreaming. Her favorite Bible passage is Isaiah 1:1-6.
