Home of the Warriors
Academy Family,

The dictionary defines a “legacy” as “anything handed down from the past, as from someone who preceded you.” It is important for us to realize as we look towards the future of The Academy, that anything we do today becomes a legacy for those that follow.

When you support The Academy, you become a part of what God is doing in our midst. I want to invite you to become a part of our story. Our story is a story of a family, a story that I truly believe will be told for generations. What you do will not be just for your children, but for your grandchildren, and for generations of children to come.

God chose to reveal his plan to judge Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham, and to make of Abraham a great nation because, “I know him, that he will teach his children, and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord.” There is no higher calling or purpose than teaching our children.

When I came to The Academy 14 years ago, I had a strong vision of who we should be, what we should value as an academic family, and how we would want our students to be known after their graduation. I had no idea how to make that happen. I prayed for skilled educators and administrators, for resources to build buildings, and for students and families that shared our vision and values.

God has richly blessed The Academy beyond my wildest imagination. There have been many “firsts” and many “milestones”. In each of those cases, God brought us to a point of decision, or a point of commitment. In each case a door was opened, and we had to walk through. Today we stand at what will likely be one of the most important open doors of opportunity in the history of The Academy.

Thanks to generous donors, we have made it to halftime of our capital campaign, “Building the Home of the Warriors.” We need to raise $6 million more in the next 6 months to complete this important next step of facility growth by the 2024-25 school year. This project will do much more than build a gym as you can see below.

We are asking our Academy to be “ALL IN.” We cannot all be equal in giving, but we can be equal in commitment. Whether one dollar or one million dollars, we are “ALL IN.” May it be said of us, “They will teach their children, and they will keep the way of the Lord.”

picWe have been blessed to call the Academy home for the past 13 years. We are thankful that our children are prepared to enter the world as well-trained servants for Christ. We cannot wait to see Whitesburg Christian Academy continue to grow and impact families the same way ours has been impacted!

picThere is no better ministry than raising the next generation to know and serve Christ. We are so thankful for Whitesburg Christian Academy and the way our children are loved, prayed for, nurtured and challenged to be who God has made them to be. The Academy is more than a school; we are truly a family. It is exciting to see God at work and be a part of what He is doing. We are honored to support this campaign.

Apicnita and I have been educators for 35 years. We watched the high school population in Madison grow from 400 to 4,000 students during our time there. We invested in God’s kingdom by trying to be Godly examples for the students and adults we worked with for 30+ years. When God led us to Whitesburg, we knew very little about the school. In the 2 ½ years we have been here, we have seen the tremendous influence The Academy is having on our students (and us too). We believe so strongly in The Academy’s mission that we pray our grandchildren will one day be able to attend and receive God’s rich blessing here. We wholeheartedly support this campaign and the lasting effect it will have on each individual child and the people they touch for God’s kingdom.

picWhitesburg Christian Academy has been my happy place for the past ten years! I absolutely love coming to work each day with our amazing students and staff. As I walk the hallways of the Academy each day, I witness our students growing not only academically, but spiritually as well. My husband and I are thankful to support the campaign. We love being a part of the Academy family, and we pray the mission of the Academy continues to be passed from generation to generation.

picI thank the Lord daily for the opportunity to be a part of the Whitesburg Christian Academy family. The Academy is truly an awesome place. The Lord has gathered a special group of Christian parents, students, teachers and leaders who all proclaim Jesus through a Christ-centered education. As Athletic Director, I love watching our athletes and coaches represent Christ on and off the court. To witness our teams gather together in prayer with our competitors after a contest is truly life changing. I support this campaign because I know Jesus will be lifted up and exalted in our community through our new gym.
