Position Summary
We seek an experienced, student-centered Assistant Principal to support leadership for grades 7-12. The successful candidate will help oversee daily operations, instructional leadership, extracurricular events, curriculum and assessment oversight, and staff development. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, well-managed, and academically rigorous learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional leadership & teacher support.
- Foster collaboration among teachers and departments to build a strong academic culture.
- Supervise and monitor day to day operations.
- Supervise and represent the school during athletic and extracurricular events.
- Address behavioral issues and assign disciplinary consequences per handbook.
- Maintain timely, professional communication with families and guardians.
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of middle and high school teachers.
- Analyze student achievement and progress data; support teachers in using data to inform instruction and meet school-wide academic goals.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred.
- Administrative credential or certification preferred/required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience; prior leadership or assistant principal experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design, data-driven instruction, and behavior management.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to building a positive school culture.
