Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Upper School Principal who is passionate about academic excellence, student development, and Christian education. The principal will provide leadership to the upper school division, which includes grades 7-12. The successful candidate will be an active, hands-on leader who inspires faculty, staff, and students to grow in their faith and in their pursuit of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Upper School, including academic programs, student life, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure the school's mission, vision, and Christian values are incorporated into all facets of school life.
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment that encourages spiritual growth, academic achievement, and character development.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to implement school policies and initiatives.
- Lead professional development efforts for faculty and staff, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and support needed for success.
- Ensure strong communication and relationship-building within the school community, including students, parents, faculty, and the broader community.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of Upper School faculty and staff.
- Develop and manage the Upper School budget, ensuring financial stewardship aligned with the school's mission.
- Work closely with the Headmaster, other administrators, and the Academy Committee to achieve school-wide goals and maintain a healthy school culture.
Qualifications:
- The Academy is a ministry of Whitesburg Baptist Church. Therefore, this position requires an active membership at Whitesburg Baptist Church.
- A deep commitment to Christian values and a strong understanding of how biblical integration transforms education.
- Master's degree in education, administration, or a related field (preferred).
- At least five years of leadership experience in education, preferably in a Christian school setting.
- Strong knowledge of upper school curriculum, teaching strategies, and best practices in student development.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor faculty and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
- Experience with school governance.
- Ability to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, families, and staff.

Admissions Director
Position: Admissions Director
The Admissions Director at Whitesburg Christian Academy plays a critical role in promoting the school's mission and values while ensuring a smooth, efficient process for student enrollment. The Admission Director is often the first point of contact for prospective families, setting the tone for their experience with the school. The role requires a combination of leadership, marketing, and administrative skills, as well as a deep understanding of the Christian faith and the school's educational approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Enrollment:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract prospective students and families to the school.
- Organize and lead campus tours, open houses, and informational events for potential families.
- Maintain relationships with prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process.
- Marketing and Communication:
- Work with the marketing team to promote the school's mission and values through various channels (website, social media, print materials).
- Ensure that the school's Christian identity is reflected in all promotional materials and communication with families.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create campaigns that showcase the school's academic, extracurricular, and faith-based offerings.
- Admissions Process Management:
- Oversee the application and enrollment processes from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines and procedures are followed.
- Review applications, conduct interviews, and make decisions based on academic and spiritual alignment with the school's philosophy.
- Ensure timely communication with applicants and families regarding their status and next steps.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Track admissions data, including trends, inquiries, applications, and enrollment rates.
- Prepare reports on admissions trends and goals for school leadership.
- Use data to assess and refine recruitment strategies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with school leadership, teachers, and staff to understand the school's needs and ensure that new students are a good fit.
- Foster a sense of community among prospective families by connecting them with current students, parents, and faculty.
- Student Retention:
- Develop strategies to ensure student retention after enrollment, including family engagement and follow-up communications.
- Build relationships with families to keep them engaged in the school's mission and vision.
Qualifications:
- Education Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in education, business administration, communications, or a related field is often required.
- A strong understanding of Christian theology and the ability to communicate the school's faith-based curriculum.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and other relevant tools for managing applications and communications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or marketing, preferably within an educational setting.
- Experience in Christian ministry or a deep understanding of the faith-based education model is often preferred.
- Passion for Christian Education:
- A strong commitment to the mission of the school and a passion for Christian education.
- Ability to integrate Christian principles into all aspects of admissions work.
