Fine Arts

Philosophy of Arts

At the core of our Fine Arts program is the Biblical mandate to “do everything heartily, as unto the Lord and not men”.  Our drawing, painting, acting, singing, and playing aim to reflect this goal.  We strive to pursue excellence in all aspects of the arts, and we understand that it is such a powerful way to display our faith.

Educationally, we also hold that arts education is vital for many reasons.  It serves to teach students how to understand human experiences, both past and present, as well as how they can influence future society.  They learn to make decisions in situations where there are no standard answers, which stimulates their natural creativity and forces them to think critically about what looks and sounds beautiful.
